Why do you want to be an exchange student?

I admire America since i was very young,regarding the U.S as a great country.Occasionally,i was told that there was a student exchange program.I believe this is an opportunity to meet more people and know more about this country.On the one hand,i can learn English in a effecient way.On the other hand,i can relax myself as i know that the school work there is not as haevy as Hong Kong.

Describe your family,home,school,and pets.

I am the only child of my parent,they love me very much and we have been living happy together about 16 years already.
As to my school,i thing the time in school is the best of my life especially when i am with my friends.It is known that my school is nearly the best in Hong Kong,so i am sometimes very proud of its reputation.Besides,I like to lend book from the school library and play basketball in the big playground.

Describe your relationship with members of your family and friends.

          As i and my parent have been living togather for 16 years,i think we are very happy that i always feel so appreciated.
My dad used to be a chef,so i leant the cooking skill from him.Sometimes,i would cook for my parent when i am free.
         It is known that i am a talkative person and i have a number of friends.We do not only learn and play together in school but also travel together.I used to travel to many places in China with my friends.

How do your parents feel about your decision to spend six to ten months in the United States?

      To be honestly,they said they would miss me,worrying about my life there.They require me to phone them regularly and send enough pocket money for expense.

Please identity three main extracurricular goals that you would like to accomplish while in the United State.

Fristly,i want to be a volunteer because i keen on gainning working experience and happiness by helping people.I hope i could work as  a volunteer cook in the community.Secondly,I want to know the current affair and politics thoroughly when i am in the U.S,distinguishing the difference between my native place and America.Finally,i would like to  learn to play a musical instrument such as guitar.

Describe three of your character strength
       Since i am a talkative person,i can get along with people very well.Besides,i am good at language,i am able to learn language very fast.lastly,my cooking is quite that many people say so.
 

Please describe why you think that community service is important and what individuals can gain from participating in community service projects.

         I do believe that community service is very important becuase many people need help.Since we help people,people may help us one day.Participating in the community service,i will gain working experience and meet more people.That is a good chance for me to know more about the people of this society.In addition,i believe that the more experience,the more mature one would be.That is what individual will gain from the service.
